Oversized Load Snarls Bossier City Traffic

Traffic was tangled up for a time today on Airline Drive after the boom of a trackhoe that was being hauled on a tractor trailer struck the bottom of the I-20 overpass.  

That caused hydraulic fluid from the trackhoe to spill onto the roadway.  While workers cleaned up the spill, inspectors with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development were called in to assess whether there was any structural damage to the overpass.  They determined there was not and the traffic lanes were re-opened.
