New Riverfront Cafe/Restaurant Opens in Downtown Shreveport

It's great news to see all the new things that are happening in downtown. Artwalk kicks off for the summer Wednesday evening, the makers fair markets at C&C Mercantile, all of our wonderful festivals, (getting ready for Mudbug Madness!)  And now, downtown Shreveport boasts a new cafe for lunch.

The Shreveport Aquarium has been a marvelous addition to downtown. The aquarium opened in 2017 on Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport, near the Bally's Casino, in the former Barnwell Garden and Art Center.  The Aquarium features over 1000 animals with over 300 species, including sharks, turtles, seahorses and stingrays.  They even host weddings, birthdays, and have summer camps for kids.

And did you know you can now have lunch over-looking the Red River? Now the Shreveport Aquarium features a great place to have lunch with their new Riverfront Cafe. Even if you're not visiting the Aquarium, you can enter the Cafe using the side entrance.

They are also bringing back live events on the Riverfront with their Jam on the Red live music series that will be every Thursday 5:30-9P in May and June.  This week kicks off the series with the music of Haley Brooke.  There is no cover charge, and food, beer and cocktails will be available for purchase.
