SHREVEPORT, LA – Shreveport Bossier vendors got a chance to put their best foot forward on Thursday at an outreach fair hosted by the folks at the Live! Casino & Hotel development in Bossier City. This event was hosted by The Cordish Companies and AnderCorp.

These companies are putting together a network of Louisiana based businesses to work on the property during the construction phase and provide goods and services to the Live! Casino once it opens for business.

The event this week was primarily targeted to contractors who could handle some of the work during this build process.

The folks that attended this outreach event were able to meet the players and get prequalified for stepping in to get a piece of the construction action.

This event was held in the Live! Casino & Hotel Ballroom which has been cleared out already.

The Cordish Companies have developed and destinations throughout the United States. These properties include some of the highest profile dining, entertainment, gaming, hotel and sports-anchored destinations in the country.

Cordish has the Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos in Hollywood and Tampa, FL, Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland, Live! Casino Pittsburgh and Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia.

The Live! Casino Bossier City is expected to open in early 2025.

Cordish is currently working on a $1 billion project next to its Texas Live! development in the Arlington Entertainment District in North Texas. This will include a new Texas Rangers ballpark, restaurants, retail and entertainment venues. They are also building a new 300-room convention hotel and a 5,000-capacity outdoor event pavilion.

How Big Is This Project

This complex will be a $270+ million Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. More than a dozen major subcontractors gathered to network, engage, and build relationships with local minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and veteran-owned subcontractors and suppliers. These companies could be in line for work on this massive construction project.

This complex will replace the Diamond Jacks Casino which closed shortly after the pandemic began and it never reopened. The Diamond Jacks riverboat is gone. It was sold for scrap and has already been hauled off.
