Caddo Parish now has its very own Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

It opened for business today in the Caddo 9-1-1 Communications Center after Sheriff Steve Prator swore-in its three-person staff. The new office was created after Bossier City and Parish decided to pull out of the joint Caddo/Bossier Office and go it alone.

Prator, himself, will be the Director of new office but it will be staffed by Robert Jump, Lisa Carmack, and Tony LeBlanc.  Jump and Carmack are former employees of the joint Caddo/Bossier Office.  LeBlanc is a retired Shreveport Police captain.

Jump will serve as the Caddo Deputy Director; Carmack will be the Manager, and LeBlanc will serve as Senior Deputy in charge of Field Operations.  Together, Jump and Carmack have a total of 20 years with the Caddo/Bossier Office while LeBlanc has more than 30 years of law enforcement experience.
