NBA Star Hosting Basketball Camp in Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, LA - A great event is happening this summer in Shreveport for young basketball players. Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation is hosting the Robert Williams Basketball Camp, Monday, July 8th from 9:00am – 4:00pm at LSUS.
This camp is free and open to K-8 girls and boys.
Camp instruction will cover the basic fundamentals of basketball in a safe and fun environment.
NBA Portland Trail Blazers player and Shreveport native Robert Williams will be present throughout the duration of the camp to provide on court instruction to all camp attendees.
Hydration drinks and lunch will be provided by Raising Cane’s and the Caddo Parish Commission.

Williams attended North Caddo High School and played college basketball at Texas A&M. He was drafted in the first round of the 2018 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics, where he played a major role on the 2021-22 Boston team that made it to the NBA Finals.
Williams was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers before the 2023-24 season.
