Another tragedy in Shreveport when violence escalates and now one man is dead. Shreveport police were called to a home on Navaho Trail in the Cherokee Park neighborhood in north Shreveport just after 10pm where one man was found dead.

Witnesses have told police the two men were involved in a fist fight when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other man.

Police are investigating this death as a homicide which is the 58th of the year in Shreveport.

The suspect ran off and police are trying to gather information to find the suspect. No word yet on what sparked the fight between the two men.

Shreveport is on pace to break the record number of murders in our community which dates back to 1993 when there were at least 86 murders.
