Holiday in Dixie is behind us and it's just a little over a month until the start of Mudbug Madness. A crawfish researcher with the LSU Ag Center says mudbugs are in good supply right now, even though the largest ones are rather pricy.Mudbug Madness Chairman Terri Matthews says prices usually come down after Easter. Right now, the price for a tray of crawfish with corn and potatoes at this year's mudbug madness festival will be $7. But Matthews says that amount could be adjusted -- depending on what prices do after easter. Matthews says festival organizers want patrons to have a good time and feel like they're getting a good deal. But, at the same time, they also want the vendors to do well -- since they're non-profit organizations.
