Minden Woman Arrested After Spraying Someone With Wasp-Spray

On Sunday, the Minden Police Department got a call about a fight going on in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy on Homer Road.

When Officers got to the CVS, they found that the fight was between two women. One woman was on the ground rubbing her eyes, and the other seemed unfazed and was on the other side of the parking lot.

MPD started their investigation and found out that 42 year-old Tracy Barnard sprayed the victim in the face with wasp-spray during a verbal altercation.

After Officers read Barnard her Miranda Rights, she told MPD that the woman she sprayed had been "running her mouth". After asking a few more questions, Police say Barnard told them that the victim had not even attempted to attack her, and that she sprayed her from the other side of her car.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

Barnard was arrested on a felony count of aggravated battery, and was taken to BDCC.
