Shreveport can be very proud today to learn that 14-year-old Max Chambers is one of 6 finalists to win the NBC hit TV singing show “The Voice”. Chambers was one of the top vote getters to make it to the finale this week.

Why Chambers Continues to Wow the Crowd and Judges

Max has such a command of the stage and the audience. This young talent has made incredible song choices all season and he knows how to take these songs to a new place. He is on Michael Buble’s team and he really has a shot to win this entire thing.

During part one of the finale on Monday night, the 6 finalists had to bring two performances to the stage. They were challenged to perform a contemporary song and a classic tune. Chambers decided to sing a song by Forest Frank (who is a friend of coach Michael Buble). He chose '

"Your Way’s Better", a Christian pop tune with a really good vibe. He got a standing ovation from the judges for this performance.

His classic tune was quite ambitious as he selected “One Moment in Time” by Whitney Houston. He took this amazing song to a new place. You could see his dream through his rendition of this classic hit.

One of Max’s shining moments was when he belted out the Stevie Wonder song “Don’t You Worry About a Thing”. It was simply amazing. That rendition is one of the reasons he won one of the two wild card spots in the finale.

Several Louisiana talents have been on “The Voice”, but our state has never had a winner.

Famous Singers from The Voice, Then + Now

Ten years (and counting) made a huge difference for many of the most popular singers and stars of The VoiceBlake Shelton looks noticeably different, but so do some of country music's most memorable performers.

Winners like Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery wore baby faces when they auditioned during their respective seasons. The same can be said for Morgan Wallen, a forgotten castmember from the show who's transformed more than anyone else on this list of The Voice stars then and now.
