A group of Marine Moms are putting together care packages to send to their children who are serving our country. They will be meeting on June 18th to put together the care packages.

All of the care packages will be sent to Operation Support Our Troops to be distributed to the brave men and women who are overseas defending our freedoms.

If you would like to donate items for the troops, you can drop off items at the Townsquare Media offices, 6341 Westport Ave, off of Pines Rd in Shreveport.

Items needed for care packages are as follows:

Tuna in foil packs
Pringles potato chips
Granola bars
Snack crackers
Beef jerky (NO PORK)
Baby wipes
Gatorade/Crystal light drink mix
Gum (regular & sugar free)
Plastic funnels (to help them pour beverages into canteens)
Un-medicated eye drops
Gold Bond powder
Non-aerosol athlete foot medication
Sun screen
Shaving gel
Fly swatters
Ziploc baggies-qt & gal size (for use in sand storms)
Dust-masks (found in hardware stores)
Disposable razors
Toothpaste
Dental floss
Small patriotic decorations
Hand-made patriotic cards and/or artwork made by children
Notes/letters of appreciation & encouragement
Monetary donations.
