Shreveport Police are investigating a shooting which left a man suffering  a gunshot wound Wednesday evening.

Just after 10:00 p.m. Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to Willis Knighton hospital on Greenwood road relative to a victim who arrived in the emergency room suffering multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim, adult male Dykerious Moore, was brought to the hospital by private vehicle.  In speaking with Moore, it was revealed he and a friend were walking down an unknown street when a dark colored car, possibly black, rolled past them and began shooting.

Moore, who was struck in the leg, was the only injury reported.  Due to the extent of his injuries, Moore was transported to University Health hospital, where he underwent surgery.  Authorities believe multiple reports of shots fired on Fallowmont Drive that were called in moments before Moore’s arrival at the hospital, may be connected to the shooting. Investigators did locate expended shell casings in the area near Fallowmont and gathered information suggesting there were persons driving a silver SUV firing shots in the area before driving off.  Police are asking anyone with information about this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit their website at www.lockemup.org
