A local man wanted for killing a woman last night in Shreveport’s Allendale neighborhood is behind bars today.

This morning, 43-year-old Antonio Cummings surrendered to investigators and was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of second degree murder. His bond is set at $500,000.

Cummings is charged in connection with the murder of 47-year-old Bobby Ann Turner, who was found shot once in the upper torso just after 8:30 p.m. on September 17, 2014, in the 1900 block of Anna Street. She was transported to University Health, where she was later pronounced dead.

Based on information and evidence gathered during their ongoing inquiry, police believe Cummings was involved in a dispute with another man, when he allegedly armed himself with a semi-automatic rifle and fired multiple shots at the other man. Turner, who was not involved in the altercation in any way, was struck by a projectile fired by Cummings.
