A Texas man arrested earlier this month for his alleged role in human trafficking faces new charges in connection with a west Shreveport shooting.

Shreveport police say 27-year-old Allen Nash of Dallas was driving through the parking lot of Days Inn in the 4900 block of West Monkhouse Drive back on August 31. Witnesses say he was exchanging gunshots with a man driving another vehicle.

Police learned of his involvement in the shooting when he was arrested during an undercover human trafficking operation on October 7. Nash is now charged with illegal use of a weapon and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
