LSU System President Dr. John Lombardi and members of the LSU Work Group on Organization and Collaboration visit LSU Alexandria (LSUA) on Tuesday to get input from LSUA faculty, staff, and students on potential reorganization of LSU System institutions.

Included in a day-long series meetings is an 11:45 a.m. session with students in the Live Oaks Room of the LSUA Student Center, 195 Middleton Drive, Alexandria.
The LSU Work Group, which includes LSU Board Chairman Hank Danos, was set up in October by the Board to come up with recommendations on ways to maximize resources, including the possible consolidation of administrative functions while promoting increased collaboration among LSU System units.  The LSUA visit is the second stop on a statewide tour of LSU campuses aimed at soliciting feedback on restructuring discussions from campus stakeholders and Central Louisiana support groups such as the LSUA Foundation.
Last week, the LSU Work Group, made up of board members and LSU System staffers, proposed adding more degree and certificate programs and improving student recruitment efforts at LSU Shreveport.
