The LSU Tiger's Men's Basketball team entered the SEC Tournament as the #1 seed, but ended up losing in their first game to Florida, 76-73.

Naz Reid led the Tigers in scoring with 26 points, while Ja'Vonte Smart added 13, and Tremont Waters put in 9. Naz Reid also had 14 rebounds to register the double-double.

LSU spent the day in foul trouble, with 24 personal fouls compared to only 10 for Florida. The Gators had plenty of time working in the bonus, making 16 of the 26 free throws they had. LSU took advantage from the free throw line, when they got a chance, making 7 of their 11 attempts.

The Tigers were able to out rebound Florida 42 to 35, but LSU also turned the ball over more, with 13 turnovers.

Next up for LSU is the NCAA Tournament, which they're almost certainly guaranteed a spot. But this loss will probably eliminate any chance they had of landing a 2 seed, and hurt their case for a 3 seed. LSU will find out their seed, destination, and opponent on Sunday.
