Millions are expected to check out the online deals today as we mark Cyber Monday. I will probably be among them. But there is nothing I really must have this year. I will most likely try to do most of my shopping as local as possible. More than 70 million people are planning to shop online on Cyber Monday. That compares to about 130 million who did some shopping on Black Friday.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill has some advice for online shoppers. She says you should be sure to exercise caution and take steps to make sure your identity is protected from online scammers.
Murrill says the risks of fraud are constant during the holiday shopping season.
Cyber Monday is a great and easy way to avoid all the crowded stores on Black Friday, but you still need to protect yourself from scammers who could be looking to steal your identity and hard-earned money.
Murrill adds "don’t become a victim this holiday shopping season. I urge all consumers to make sure the website and company are legitimate, and then review the company’s return policy and warranty information before you click purchase.”
