Multiple offices, including the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police, and Shreveport Fire Department have removed a body from the Red River today.

According to reports, some witnesses saw what appeared to be a body early this morning near the East Stoner Boat Launch in Shreveport. Once rescue units arrived, they attempted to locate the body, which they eventually did. First responders were able to pull the body onto shore on the Bossier side of the river.

Cindy Chadwick from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's office told KTBS that the body was recovered on the Bossier City side of the river, and that the Shreveport Police Department is investigating the case.

Cause of death, or any other circumstances around the body and its discovery, are not available at this time.
