Debbie Meaux, President of the Louisiana Association of Educators, tells 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright that the biggest problem facing schools in the state is lack of funding.

Continuing her "more money" theme, Meaux also says says that the solution to problems plaguing Louisiana schools, multi-generational poverty and other social pathologies, is an increase in funds from state government to help disadvantaged children prepare for, and maintain, academic excellence.
