Guests at a downtown Shreveport restaurant/nightclub got quite a surprise over the weekend when a country superstar stepped up on to the stage to entertain the crowd for a about 15 minutes of pure joy.

This big surprise happened at the Noble Savage in downtown Shreveport on Saturday night. It turns out legendary artist Kix Brooks was attending a dinner party with some friends and family and he decided to get up on stage and sing a few tunes to the delight of those in the audience.

Kix rocked the joint performing some blues and even playing the harmonica.

The restaurant/nightclub is under new management and they posted this message on social media about this special night:

"For over a decade a sign hung in Noble Savage that read “NO COUNTRY MUSIC” well since reopening we’ve forgotten about the sign and welcomed many country artists along with all other genres of music! And TONIGHT, legendary doesn’t even begin to describe the country music talent that graced the Noble Savage Shreveport stage….Kix Brooks!!"

Of course you know Kix is a native of Shreveport, but went on to become a country legend as half of Brooks & Dunn one of the most powerful country acts of all time. Brooks & Dunn won Top Vocal Duo from the Country Music Association in every year from 1991 to 2006, except in 2000, and the Academy of Country Music's Top Vocal Duo several years. One of their most famous songs, "Boot Scootin’ Boogie" was the Single Record of the Year in 1992.
