
Shreveport Man Arrested for Kidnapping & Assault of 2 Juveniles
SHREVEPORT, LA-
Shreveport Police Arrest Jeffrey Reed for Allegedly Kidnapping & Assaulting 2 Juveniles
A Shreveport man was arrested by Shreveport Police after he allegedly kidnapped two juveniles early Thursday morning, February 6th.
Jeffrey Reed reportedly picked up a 13 year old, and a 14 year old juvenile, then took them to a motel in the 3900 block of Greenwood Road.
Shreveport Police Say This is What Happened
The two juveniles left their home around 11PM on Wednesday, the 5th to visit a friend’s house. When they were on their way back home, Reed offered them a ride. The two youth got into the vehicle with Reed, but instead of taking them home, he took them to a motel, where he locked them in the room refusing to allow them to leave.
Reed then displayed pornographic images and attempted to sexually assault the children. As a result of these heinous actions, Reed has been charged with several crimes, including:
- Two Counts of Simple Kidnapping
- Two Counts of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile
- One Count of False Imprisonment
Reed was arrested after resisting arrest, and being Tased by the officers. He was taken to a local area hospital where he was treated for injuries he sustained during his arrest.
The Shreveport Police released a statement saying:
