KEEL Listeners Chip in to Send Woman to Brother’s Marine Boot Camp Graduation

I am so thrilled to be able to report this news today. This week I learned about the plight of Amanda Henson. Her brother is at Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island, South Carolina. She struggles, working two jobs and is having trouble getting the money together to make the trip to see him graduate in October. I posted her story here and on the KEEL Facebook page asking for help to raise the $500 she needed to make the trip.

Our KEEL listeners came through in a big way!!  Dairy Queen District Manager Wayne Norman immediately called to let us know he was going to take care of the entire trip!

He showed up at our office this morning with $500 to pay for Amanda's trip.
