Big news for LSU football fans this week. It’s a pretty great Christmas gift to learn quarterback Jayden Daniels is going to come back and play his final year for the Tigers. He will be back for the 2023 season rather than jump to the NFL draft.
Daniels broke the news on Twitter saying he has had an “amazing ride” with the Tigers. Daniels led LSU to the SEC west title in passing for more than 3,500 yards and 27 touchdowns this season.

He will lead the Tigers in the Citrus Bowl on Monday January 2 as the Tigers take on Purdue for a chance to get win number 10 on the season. He was also very elusive to catch for opposing defenses. He had 180 carries for more than 800 yards and 11 touchdowns. Daniels will likely have lots of help as coach Brian Kelly has been busy racking up new recruits to come play for LSU. The Tigers are expected to have one of the best recruiting classes in all of college football.
