Driving and drinking is never the right choice in Texas.

Drunk driving has been a problem in the state. Not only does it endanger the driver, it also endangers the people around them while out on the road. When you've been drinking, it's for the best to have a designated driver, or have a ride available to you.

Not everyone decides to be smart and safe sadly. Per the National Traffic and Highway Safety Administration, 37 people unfortunately lose their life in a crash caused by drunk driving. In total, 13,524 passed away in the year of 2022 with the cause being impaired behind the well.

For Texas, recent data collected reveals the state has a lot of work to do involving drunk driving, especially accidents that are fatal.
