For years, the Pew Research Center has been looking into young people and how they use social media. They also found out which sites and apps they were using the most. One-third of our teenagers admit they are using these sites "constantly".

One of the big answers is YouTube. Of the biggest apps and/or sites that young people are using each day is YouTube. 71% of respondents use YouTube to watch and use the app to interact with others.
The most popular channel on YouTube is PewDiePie with 111 million subscribers.
The numbers go higher for YouTube usage when you factor in all age groups for teenagers.

Next up in terms of usage is TikTok. 63% of our teenagers from 13-19 are using TikTok in a given day.
Over 1.6 billion people use TikTok.
Number 3 Most Popular App For Teens
The third highest usage for social media goes to Snapchat. 60% of teenagers are using Snapchat for everything they do.

When it comes to the fourth spot on the list of popular platforms, Instagram gets that spot.
