Shreveport Mudbugs Debut Throwback 90s Jerseys

If you're a fan of Shreveport hockey, or the 1990s, it time to get tickets to this Saturday's Shreveport Mudbugs game. Because the Mudbugs will be celebrating Alumni Weekend, and doing it with pure nostalgia through their new throwback jerseys.

These throwback jerseys are an homage to the classic Mudbugs jerseys they wore in the Western Professional Hockey League. This era of the Mudbugs represents the team's beginnings, and their first taste of success.

In their inaugural 1997-98 season, the team qualified for the playoffs in their first try. The following year they won the President's Cup, sweeping the finals. In the last season of the 90s, the 1999-2000 season, they repeated as President's Cup Champions.

Even though it wasn't the 90s anymore, the Mudbugs earned a three-peat in the 2000-2001 season, winning the President's Cup for a third year in a row.

This weekend, the franchise is looking to celebrate that era of Mudbugs Hockey with their Alumni Weekend. While a bunch of legendary players from the team's history will be attending this weekend, the team is really bringing the 90s feel back with these throwback jerseys.
