Neon Nights on Texas Street: Your Guide to Shreveport’s Biggest Block Party
If you thought you missed out on National Night Out (NNO), think again. While most cities across the nation celebrate in the scorching heat of August, Shreveport marches to the beat of its own drum. Why suffer when you can celebrate? Shreveport's NNO always waits for the cool, comfortable weather of October to host the biggest community event of the year.
Everyone is Invited to the Epic Neon Nights Block Party
This Tuesday, October 7th, the entire city is coming together on the 700 block of Texas Street for the official City of Shreveport Government kick-off.
The theme is "Neon Nights," and this block party is designed to be a blast for everyone. It’s your chance to experience community, connection, and a whole lot of electric Downtown spirit right in the heart of the city.
Following the massive downtown kickoff, our dedicated Shreveport police officers and local leaders will split up and travel throughout the city, visiting as many neighborhood block parties as possible.
With more than 130 registered block parties this year, residents can expect an evening filled with community fun, connection, and crucial crime-prevention awareness.
National Night Out is a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening the vital relationships between law enforcement and the community, all while promoting neighborhood safety and unity.
The Shreveport Police Department looks forward to celebrating with residents across the city tomorrow evening. Keep an eye out for all the block parties scheduled throughout Shreveport; there just might be one on your street. We love seeing our community come together for fun events like this.
