Shreveport Favorite Donut Shop Announces Closure
According to Dripp Donuts "It’s LIGHTS OUT at 421 Market".
It is official our hearts are broken. Dripp Donut fans have been closely monitoring Dripp's Facebook page. It has been several months since we have been able to enjoy a sourdough donut.
"We want to officially announce that the Dripp Donuts downtown location is permanently closed. We were forced to shut our doors just one day shy of our First Anniversary."
According to Dripp's update via Facebook they have been dealing with tough negotiations and they had to leave a lot behind because there is a huge risk that the building can collapse. Dripp claims that the tenants have been no help with their concerns. "We have made multiple requests to meet with Janie Landry, the director of DSDC (the building owner) and Shreveport DDA, but she has refused to meet and has yet to address our concerns. We’ve remained tight-lipped, but with daily inquiries from customers, supporters, and the press, we want to shed some light on the reality of the situation and our struggles. We have given DSDC nearly two months to address our concerns, but it seems they are more interested in their own agenda than in helping their tenants."

"Well, it’s difficult to make decisions in the midst of so much uncertainty. We know the rumours are flying, but we can confirm we have not yet found a new home for Dripp Donuts. When we have updates, we will be sure to share."
