Attempted Murder Arrest Made by Shreveport Police
SHREVEPORT, LA- Arrest Made in Attempted Murder
On September 22, 2024, at approximately 4:27 p.m., Shreveport Police responded to a welfare concern at the Royal Inn at 1906 North Market. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim suffering from a life-threatening injury, having sustained a deep cut to her throat. Paramedics arrived on the scene and promptly transported the victim to Ochsner Health, where she remains in critical condition.
While securing the area, officers made contact with a male suspect, identified as 42-year-old Joshua Anzalone. Witnesses at the scene indicated that Anzalone was responsible for the attack. He is alleged to have strangled the victim and slashed her throat during a dispute. Anzalone was detained at the scene, and investigators were notified to assist in the case.
Anzalone has been charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder and booked into the City Jail. The victim remains alive as of the latest report, though she is still in critical condition.
