The Shreveport Municipal Auditorium has just announced the return of Vince Gill on Friday, August 21, to Shreveport!

This is incredibly exciting news for country music fans since the last time Gill appeared in the area was in June 2017 when he presented a Buddy Holly model guitar to Shreveport music legend James Burton at the opening of the "Art of the Guitar" exhibit at Artspace in downtown Shreveport.

Little did country fans know that when Gill recently announced his 2026 "50 Years From Home" tour, that a stop in Shreveport would be included, so this recent announcement is nothing short of an exciting treat!

For those unaware, Vince Gill is one of the most awarded artists in country music history. Having picked up a whopping 22 Grammy Awards, 18 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, 8 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, his induction to the Country Music Hall of Fame was a no-brainer in 2007, and he only exceeded that with his 2025 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.

Gill's impressive string of number one hits includes the singles, "I Still Believe in You," "Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' Away," "One More Last Chance," "The Heart Won't Lie," (duet with Reba McEntire) and "Tryin' to Get Over You" are enough to validate his incredible career, but it's his performance of "Go Rest High On That Mountain" that is likely his most memorable performance.

Tickets for the Vince Gill concert, on Friday, August 21, at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, will go on sale to the general public this Friday, February 13, at 10:00 am at Ticketmaster.com

However, those wishing to secure tickets early, can purchase them on Thursday, February 12 between 10:00 am and 10:00 pm at shreveportmunicipalauditorium.com. When prompted, use the special code: SMA2026
