In a notice from DOTD, drivers are advised that this Thursday, March 5, the on-ramp from LA 511 (W. 70th Street) to LA 3132 westbound in Shreveport, will be closed. This will be a total ramp closure and all vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Additionally, LA 3132 westbound from I-20 to LA 511 will be reduced to one lane.

Thankfully, these closures will only be in place from approximately 7:00 am to 6:00 pm for this one day, and are necessary to allow DOTD crews to perform roadway maintenance work.

Of course, with any type project like this, DOTD reminds us that the work will be done "Weather Permitting" so any inclement weather could delay, extend, or alter in other ways, the scheduled work day/hours.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.

Call 511, visit www.511la.org, or download the Louisiana 511 mobile app for additional travel information. Out-of-state travelers may call 1-888-ROAD-511 (1-888-762-3511).

Motorists may also monitor the LA DOTD website at www.dotd.la.gov, by selecting MyDOTD, or by visiting the DOTD Facebook and X (Twitter) pages.
