Former LSU Tiger And Texas Native To Become Member Of The Harlem Globetrotters
This is pretty cool. It looks like a Beaumont Native and former LSU Tiger will be joining the Harlem Globetrotters.
WHO ARE THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS?
The Harlem Globetrotters are global icons associated with family entertainment and exceptional basketball skills. The Globetrotters represent almost 90 years of breaking down barriers, acts of kindness, and a dedication to fans that extends beyond the game. The Globetrotters have delighted over 148 million people in 123 nations and territories worldwide, introducing many to the game of basketball. The team was instrumental in popularizing the slam dunk, the fast break, the forward and point guard positions, and the figure-eight weave.
The Globetrotters were founded back in 1926 or 97 years ago. They are an exhibition baseball team that has entertained audiences for almost a century. Since they were founded, they have played more than 26,000 exhibition games in 124 countries and territories.
Alexis Morris is a Beaumont, Texas native. She is coming off winning a National Championship with the LSU Tigers Women's Basketball Team back in 2023, and now it looks like she has found what she will be doing next That will be joining forces with the world-renowned Harlem Globetrotters!
Morris joins the group as its seventh current woman member, which makes that the most in its lengthy history. The Globetrotters will commemorate its 100th birthday in 2026. During her two seasons as a Tiger, Morris averaged 15.2 points and 3.5 assists per game. During LSU's championship run, she averaged 16.8 points and 3.8 assists, helping the team win its first-ever national championship.

Morris will play her first game as a Harlem Globetrotter on Friday, February 9th at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, which is the birthplace of basketball and the home of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Morris has started her training with the Harlem Globetrotters and will be joining the domestic arm of the 2024 Tour. Her packed and demanding schedule also includes two performances in the New York City area, on February 18th and February 24th at Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center, respectively.
