Shreveport’s Independence Bowl is Set: La Tech vs. Coastal Carolina
The wait is over. The 2025 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl has been set. Tuesday afternoon, December 30th at 1P, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will square off with the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech.
2025 marks the 49th edition of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowls, one of the longest running bowl games in the country. The inaugural Independence Bowl kicked off on December 13th, 1976 with McNeese State beating Tulsa 20-16.
This is the first time that Louisiana Tech and Coastal Carolina will meet. This marks the sixth bowl game for the Chanticleers, with all of those coming since 2020, and marks the first time Coastal Carolina will make an appearance at the Independence Bowl.
Obviously a local favorite, the Bulldogs make their 7th appearance in the Independence Bowl, with a 3-2-1 record in their previous Independence Bowl appearances.
