Idina Menzel Will Sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl

Idina Menzel will sing the National Anthem at this year's Super Bowl.

Menzel is a Tony Award-winning actress but is most famous for singing “Let it Go” in the movie “Frozen”.

The 43-year-old entertainer confirms that she will be singing the National Anthem “100 percent live.”

Menzel says she’s dreamed of singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl since she was a youngster. She says she was inspired by Whitney Houston’s version in 1991.

Menzel tells reporters: “I’d like to not get swept away in the fact that it’s the Super Bowl and remember what I’m singing about,”

“It’s actually a very poignant song and I’m proud to be singing about my country.”
