Amazing Selfies Taken By House Speaker Mike Johnson
SHREVEPORT, LA - I stumbled across something today that just made me smile. Actually, I was chuckling. You probably will too. We all know lots of people who are fond of taking selfies. Some of these pics are great. Many of them are silly.
But this selfie has to be the most amazing selfie I have ever seen.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Capitol Hill interns. We are excited to watch them become the next generation of leaders in this country.
Think about that for just a minute. The freaking Speaker of the House takes selfies with all of those ambitious young people who are probably dreaming about a career in politics or government sometime in the future.

No matter what your politics are, you have to appreciate this amazing perspective from one of the most powerful men in the world. These young men and women will treasure these photos forever. They are in a selfie with the Speaker of the House.
This is just one of the things Congressman Johnson does behind the scenes that we don't often talk about. He recently honored former Sheriff Steve Prator by naming him to the Congressional Badge of Bravery Board. Congressman Johnson has also sent me a flag that flew over the Capitol on my work anniversary. I'm sure he has staff to take care of many of these tasks.
But to see him snap these photos of these young, exuberant interns is so heart warming. Check out the guy in the middle with the peace sign and the guy on the far left with the wide opened mouth. These pictures will forever be framed in some professional office in the world one day.
Way to go Mike!! I hope I can always call him Mike.
