Homicide Suspect Arrested by Shreveport Police Following Shooting

Over the weekend, Shreveport Police were called to Windermere Drive to reports of a shooting.

When SPD showed up to the scene, they found two people suffering from several gunshot wounds. The woman who was shot was declared dead on the scene by Shreveport Fire Department. The male victim, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Thanks to the swift work of medical professionals, the victim is now in stable condition.

Police immediately started an investigation with the help of SPD's Homicide Unit, and were able to identify Richard Williams as the suspect in the deadly shooting. Williams was tracked down and arrested for Second Degree Homicide for the murder of the woman.
