We are moving into the heart of the Christmas season and it's time to think about how many great memories you can make with your family.

What Should Be Your Holiday Priorities

If you look back on your childhood memories, you probably remember the family times that built traditions and love among those you are closest to. The many hours of decorating the home, the tree and putting up the manger are some of my favorite memories as a youngster. But I also loved those car rides to look at Christmas lights.

Special Holiday Events in the Shreveport Area

You have several great choices to find holiday events to help build some great memories for your children and loved ones. If you are looking for a place to meet Santa Claus, you will find several options. If you are looking for great holiday music, you will find several events on our holiday list.

You will also be able to catch a couple of great holiday fireworks shows this season, including a return of Rockets Over the Red.

Christmas in Roseland is also one of my favorite spots to make some very special holiday memories. Bundle up and bring the family out to this beautiful park in west Shreveport and see how gorgeous the park is while all lit up for the holidays.

Piney Park in Marshall is also a great place to combine nature with an amazing holiday family tradition. And we can't forget about the big Natchitoches Christmas Festival which draws hundreds of thousands of folks to the region.
