SHREVEPORT, LA – Sometime, there is nothing better than a great hot dog with all the toppings you love. In Shreveport, you can get a pretty good one from the hot dog guy downtown. But you can also get a great hot dog right inside Sam’s Club and it’s cheap at the big retail giant.
But the shopping club is changing the game for hot dog lovers. They are now offering new holiday-themed eats and they have introduced the Holidog. Yep. This is a hot dog with a little holiday flare.
This holiday hot dog is described as "half Thanksgiving, half Christmas."
Sam’s Club sent out this statement about the new dogs:
As the holiday season approaches, families are looking for convenient, high-quality meals at a great value. To help, Sam’s Club is introducing the Holidog — a limited-time twist on their popular hot dog, combining Thanksgiving and Christmas toppings all on one bun.
So What Is on a Holidog?
I can not even imagine wanting to eat this. But you will find the "Club Mash Up." This is a hot dog topped with mashed Potatoes and Christmas cookies. Another option is the "Frankly Both." This dog has pumpkin pie and candy canes on top. And the other offering is the "Season’s Meatings" dog which has turkey and prime rib on top.
Where Can You Get These Specialty Hot Dogs?
These Holidogs will not be available in Sam’s Clubs nationwide. You will only by able to find them in 3 cities. But one of those cities is not too far away. The Holidogs are being sold in Sam’s Club stores in New York City at one location. A Nashville Sam’s Club will be serving up the specialty dogs and the Holidogs will be available in Dallas at Pegasus Plaza on Thursday, December 12, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. (or until sold out).
What Else Can You Get on Holidogs?
You can also get even more adventurous with these hot dogs. You can ask for candy canes atop your dog. You could also request apple pie, or whipped cream, or even cranberry sauce if that’s what you’re craving. These extra toppings are free.
Could Holidogs be available nationwide next year? I would be shocked if that happens. I don’t know too many people that would want to order these crazy hot dogs. I don’t even think I could get anyone to even try them. They sound super messy and actually pretty disgusting.
