Historic Changes Coming for the NFL in Dallas
A big change is on the way for the NFL. The 2018 draft will be held in Texas. The announcement was made this morning.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has announced that the Dallas Cowboys will play host to this huge springtime event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It's coming up April 26-28th. This is the first time the draft will take place inside an NFL stadium.
Usually the draft is held in New York. But over the past few years, the league has taken the show on the road. It was held in Philadelphia in 2017, and Chicago in 2015 and 2016.
"Philadelphia raised the bar by taking the draft to another level, and this new opportunity in Dallas will enable us to continue the event's evolution and grow it even further," Goodell said in a release. "We are grateful to the Dallas Cowboys, the cities of Arlington, Dallas, and Frisco, and the Dallas Sports Commission for their leadership in turning this vision into reality."
The NFL will put on quite a show with the draft and they are expecting record crowds to show up for the event.
Here are the top 5 projected draft picks:
Sam Darnold, QB from Southern California
Saquon Barkley, RB from Penn State
Josh Rosen, QB from UCLA
Arden Key, DE from LSU
