Be Prepared For Road Work Tonight

One of those occasions will occur tonight as the inside lane of the I-20 westbound overpass of Airline Drive in Bossier Parish will be closed from 9:00 pm tonight, February 15, until 6:00 am tomorrow morning, February 16, to allow contractors to make repairs to the guardrail.

More Work This Saturday

Then, this Saturday, February 19, while work continues on the BAFB Interchange Access Project, DOTD advises us that from 6:00 am until 5:00 pm, the I-220 eastbound inside lane from U.S. 80 to I-20 will be closed. The U.S. 80 on-ramp to I-220 eastbound will also be closed during this same time period.

They also warn that intermittent lane closures and/or rolling road blocks will occur, as necessary, on both I-20 and I-220 eastbound and westbound for approximately the next three months as construction continues on this project.

Oh Wait, There's More!

We were also just advised of another traffic issue scheduled for this Saturday, February 19, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, when alternating lane closures will be in place in the eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 79/80 near the intersection of Benton Road and E. Texas Street.

A statement from La DOTD states that these lane closures are necessary to allow Union Pacific Railroad to work on the overhead signals.
