Shreveport police detectives are trying to identify and catch a man wanted for holding up a bank this afternoon.

Shortly after 2PM, patrol officers were called to the Wood Forest National Bank, located inside the Westport Avenue Wal-Mart Super Center. They were told that an armed man had just robbed the bank and fled the store in a light-colored sedan, possibly a Subaru.

Preliminary information suggests the armed man was wearing a motorcycle helmet during the robbery. He reportedly demanded the teller hand over cash from the drawer and left on foot. No one was injured.

Investigators ask anyone with information that might help in this case to call Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. A cash reward is being offered if an arrest is made.
