It's been a busy day for the state of Louisiana. Earlier today, Governor John Bel Edwards and the State of Louisiana issued a mandatory shutdown of bars, restaurants, casinos and any gatherings of more than 50 people. States like California, Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Washington all preceded Louisiana in making the move. Similar to those states, Louisiana's ban will still allow to-go, drive-through, and delivery orders.

Following the executive order from the Governor, Edwards met with the state's Unified Command Group and federal officials. At 3:30 pm today, he will give an update on what the state is doing to combat the COVID-19 outbreak. You can watch the Governor's address below.
