Flu shots available next week from the American Red Cross

WHAT:            American Red Cross Flu Shots 

WHERE:          American Red Cross Office, 4221 Linwood Avenue, Shreveport – 10am-4pm

WHEN:            Tuesday, January 10th  

WHO:              Hosted by Northwest LouisianaChapter American Red Cross 

WHY:              The flu shot is the best way to protect yourself from the flu. Everyone can benefit from the flu shot, but those most at risk from the flu include individuals 65 and over, those with diseases of the immune system or those in general ill health. However, even those in good health can have severe adverse reactions to the flu. Remember, the flu can kill. The flu shot takes very little time, is relatively painless and there isnothing in current flu shots that can give you the flu. 

COST:             Flu shots will be available for $25 (cash, check or credit card).

If you have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana OR Humana, you can receive the flu vaccination for FREE. Red Cross can no longer accept regular Medicare. 

OTHER:           Participants MUST bring their Humana card or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana card with them in order to receive the vaccination for free.
