Gas Prices Dip to New Low Price in Shreveport Bossier for the Year
Crude oil prices are down to about $55 dollars a barrel which means good things for motorists. The price of gas continues to fall. On October 2nd, crude oil prices were close to $75 dollars a barrel. Because of this drop, December prices are expected to dip to the lowest of the year. You can find regular unleaded for under $2.00 a gallon at several stations across Louisiana.
One Shreveport spot (Sam's Club) makes the GasBuddy.com list of the lowest prices in the state, selling fuel for $1.90 a gallon. Here are the others on the top 10 list of lowest prices for fuel in Northwest Louisiana:
About a month ago, we were paying $2.50 a gallon and a year ago, we were paying about $2.28 a gallon in Shreveport Bossier.
The national average right now is about the $2.50 mark. A year ago, that national number was about the same price.
