Four Wounded after Shots Rang out at Water Party at Stoner Boat Launch
Several people were wounded in a shooting at the Stoner Boat launch. It happened during a party that involved hundreds of people. The Memorial Day event was a water party that involved water guns and water balloons.
But some of the party goers started shooting at each other with real guns. Four people were wounded. Police were involved in a high speed chase with one car that quickly left the scene. Officers were chasing a gold Mercury Grand Marquis that fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Officers called off the search after it wound up in Bossier City and officers lost sight of the Grand Marquis. Officers don't know the involvement of that driver in the shooting incident. Dozens of shell casings were found in the parking lot. Police believe the shots came from hand guns.
Corporal Marcus Hines says officers are not sure who was throwing the party, but hundreds of people showed up to the event.
All of the shooting victims suffered non-life threatening wounds.
