Four Shot During Drive-By Shooting At Shreveport Church
The Shreveport Police Department responded to the 4700 block of Greenwood Road on Saturday to calls of a shooting at a church parking lot. Officers arrived at the parking lot of the Praise Temple Baptist Church just after 1am.
When Shreveport Police arrived on the scene, they found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. That individual was transported to Ochsner LSU Health. However after that victim was transported, Shreveport Police received a report of more victims at another hospital.
When following up on those calls, Shreveport Police found two more victims at Willis Knighton South Hospital, and an additional victim at Willis Knighton Bossier. Bringing the total count of victims the police believe to be involved in the shooting to four.
KTBS-TV reports that all of the injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
Shreveport Police have not named a suspect at this time. But they currently believe a gray Dodge Challenger fired multiple shots into the parking lot of Praise Temple Baptist Church. Those shots struck the four victims.
The investigation is ongoing.
