According to a story from the Louisiana Radio Network, the rash of illicit activities between educators and children is continuing.

According to the original story, Captain Brennan Matherne with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office says their detectives were investigating allegations that 44-year-old Ashleigh Landry of Raceland had exchanged inappropriate messages with a teenage boy.

“We brought Landry in for questioning and during questioning, she not only admitted to exchanging inappropriate messages, but she also admitted to having sexual intercourse with the teenager,” said Matherne.

It was at this time, the former principal of Lockport Middle School was arrested for having sexual relations with a teenager.

Landry was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex and has been charged Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.

“She’s being accused of having consensual contact with a teenager,” said Matherne.

After doing some research on the crime of "Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile", I found this from law.justia.com
