Caddo Parish families who are feeling the strain of the holiday season will have another opportunity for help on Saturday, December 20, as the Caddo Parish Commission partners again with the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana to host an additional drive thru food box distribution.

Multiple sites across the parish will open at 9am and 10:30am, offering support for residents facing food insecurity after a significant turnout at the November event.

Caddo Parish Community Leaders Respond to High Need

Commissioner Stormy Gage-Watts said the decision to add another distribution came after seeing overwhelming demand last month. She noted that many families continue to struggle with rising costs and seasonal pressures, and widening access to food assistance remains a priority for parish leaders.

Funding for the event stems from an allocation by the Caddo Parish Commission, while the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana handles food acquisition and distribution.
