Flash Flood Warning has been extended for DeSoto Parish, Red River Parish, Natchitoches Parish, Sabine Parish and Winn Parish. This warning is in effect until  1:45 PM Thursday.

Radar indicates light to moderate rain continues across warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

Some locations that will experience flooding include:
Natchitoches, Mansfield, Winnfield, Many, Coushatta, Zwolle, Logansport, Campti, Converse, Allen, Oak Grove, Pleasant Hill, Florien, Provencal, Natchez, Martin, Clarence, Goldonna, South Mansfield and Dodson.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches will be possible across portions of the warned area through sunrise.

PREVIOUS WARNING:

A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of Northwest Louisiana. This warning is in effect for Sabine, Winn, DeSoto, Red River, and Natchitoches Parishes until 2am Thursday morning.

Heavy rain continues to fall around the region. So far, these parishes have gotten 3-7 inches of rain. Numerous roads are flooded and have been closed. Some parts of Sabine and Natchitoches Parishes have gotten 10 inches of rain.

Several local towns are facing flooding problems tonight. These include:

Mansfield, Winnfield, Many, Coushatta, Zwolle. Logansport, Campti, Converse, Allen, Oak Grove, Pleasant Hill, Florien, Provencal, Natchitoches, Martin, Clarence, Goldonna, South Mansfield, and Dodson. As much as 4 inches of rain is expected across this area overnight.

Sheriff's offices in each parish warn motorists not to try to drive through any flooded area.

A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or is occurring. It you live in the warned area, you should move to higher ground and take precautions
