Fight in Shreveport Ends With Violent Stabbing

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest woman for violent stabbing incident.

On July 21st, 2023, at 11:19 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of a stabbing in the 7500 block of Line Avenue. As the officers arrived, they found that a female victim was suffering from multiple stab wounds all over her body. Officers quickly learned that witnesses observed multiple persons fighting in the area of 75th Street and Line Avenue.

Further investigation revealed that Andrea Williams (5-22-79) was involved in the fight and reportedly produced a knife. Detectives with the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and began their investigation into the incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Andrea Williams was arrested by patrol officers and charged with one count of simple battery and one count of 2nd-degree aggravated battery.

We must remind that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
