We have already seen our temperatures dip into the 60's this past week and that has many folks thinking about the fall season and the great things ahead as we move closer to the holidays.

Friday night lights and college football season is here and that can only mean we are bracing for fall and the end to our hot muggy summer of 2024.

With fall, comes the arrival of pumpkin patches across the Shreveport area. Many of these pumpkin patches will be opening all around this area in the next few weeks.

Most of these spots are free to visit and you can take some amazing photos. If you want to bring some pumpkins home, you’ll typically pay based on how big the pumpkins are.

Are Pumpkins Scarce this Year?

Some areas might see a bit of a shortage in the supply. That's based on several factors. Droughts in Texas has impacted the supply and the demand is expected to be quite high this season. We also know the prices will be higher for pumpkins this year too.

We could also see some shipping delays for pumpkins as well.

Can I Take Free Pictures in a Pumpkin Patch?

If you will be heading out to one of our great pumpkin patches this year, you might wanna call ahead, or check social media to make sure the pumpkins have arrived.
